Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” – Matt. 8:1-2
Great multitudes followed Jesus (v 1); but a leper came and worshiped Him. Not everyone who followed Jesus got a miracle! But this leper who came and worshiped Jesus did:
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. – Matt. 8:3
Healing begins with worship. When you worship Jesus, you activate the healing covenant of His blood. You step into the promise Jesus died for you to have. When you worship Jesus, everything dead comes back to life; and everything in need of healing becomes whole!
Prayer:
Jesus, I am going to worship You today like my life depends on it. Thank You for the power of worship. Help me to never take it for granted, in Jesus’ name!
