Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, lest you turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left… – Josh 23:6
Keeping God’s word is hard. Living a holy life is far from easy! It takes courage to live according to the word of God. And that is why you should never try to do it alone.
Ask God for help. You are filled with the same Spirit, “…who raised Christ from the dead” (Rom 8:11)! That means you never have to worry about keeping God’s commandments yourself; you simply have to yield to God’s Holy Spirit, so He can keep His commandments through you!
Don’t lose heart. Just ask for help! The Holy Spirit will do things through you that you never dreamed were possible.
Prayer:
Father, help me to live according to Your word. Help me to give up vain pursuits in favor of heavenly ones. I pray Your Holy Spirit would work through me, so I can follow You with my whole heart!
