Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel. – Judges 2:10
You are saved! The blood of Jesus has washed you clean from all guilt, condemnation and shame. The Cross of Jesus Christ has separated you from your sin, “….as far as the east is from the west” (Ps 103:12). So, what are you going to do with that freedom? Will you keep it to yourself, or will you share it with “another generation?”
Our generation fails when we don’t teach the next generation who God is! It’s not up to our kids to “find” God; it is up to us, as parents, to tell them how good He is, and point them straight into His arms. It’s up to us, as spiritual fathers and mother, to raise up spiritual sons and daughters who know about Jesus because we tell them!
You are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Now go and tell the next generation!
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. – Prov 22:6
Prayer:
Father, make me a bold witness to the next generation. Thank You for saving me! Now I’m asking that You would save other people as I share the Gospel, in Jesus’ name!
