Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then Deborah said to Barak, “Up! For this is the day in which the Lord has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the Lord gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him. – Judges 4:14
Today was the day! Barak had come out to fight the enemy of Israel with ten thousand men. Deborah – the prophetess – prophesied that victory was certain. God had already gone out before Barak to defeat His enemies; and all Barak needed to do was step into the victory!
Today is your day. Up! This is the day in which the Lord has delivered Satan into your hand. Has not the Lord gone out before you? Victory is certain! Jesus has already defeated Satan on the Cross. All you need to do is go out and step into the victory!
Today is your day. God has gone out before you, and Satan is defeated; and that means you have nothing to fear.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for certain victory! Thank You for defeating Satan at the Cross. Thank You there is no enemy I have to fear. You have already achieved a resounding victory over him, in Jesus’ name!
