Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. – Judges 15:15

God’s Holy Spirit fell on Samson, and he was filled with supernatural strength. But Samson wasn’t restricted to using a sword, or the typical instruments of battle. He found what was right in front of him, and used that.

What’s right in front of you? Do you have a skill or ability that no one else has? Do you have a passion for something that God has given you to use for His glory? If Samson used the jawbone of a donkey to wreak havoc on his enemies, what is God willing to do through you? Pick up the tools you have right in front of you, and ask God to strengthen you to use them!

Moses learned that God would use whatever resources he had available to make him great:

So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” – Ex 4:2

You don’t need to wait to be used by God. He will use you: right here, right now, with whatever you have available!

Prayer:

Father, You are the God of endless resources! Help me to realize the tools I have at my disposal, and to confidently use them for Your glory!
