Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season. – Ps. 104:27
Food picked out of season is not ripe. If you pick it too early, it will be hard: there will be effort where there should have been ease. If you pick it too late, it will be rotten: there will be decay where there should have been decadence.
But if you would just wait for God! He would give you your food in due season. Don’t rush the season. Don’t force the fruit before its’ time! Simply keep your eyes on the Lord, and trust that He will provide where He promised. And as you do, the fruit in your life will be oh so sweet and perfectly ripe.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to wait patiently on You. I know You give me food in due season! And I thank You for Your perfect timing, in Jesus’ name.
