Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” – Jn 6:8-9

The disciples couldn’t scrounge up much. They needed to feed five thousand men, plus women and children: which means at least fifteen thousand people total. But did you know that nothing is impossible to God?

Don’t despise what you have at your disposal. Andrew found a boy with five loaves and two fish; and he wondered aloud, “What are they among so many?” He didn’t think what he had available would even put a dent in the need in front of him! But Jesus would soon show Andrew how limiting his attitude was. Jesus didn’t need food; He just needed faith.

What do you have in your hand? What has God given you that you can use right now? Don’t despise what you have to offer. Simply bring Jesus your best, and watch Him multiply it right in front of your eyes!

Prayer:

Father, You are the God of abundance. You are the God of more than enough! I know that when I bring You what I have in my hand, You will multiply it beyond my wildest dreams, in Jesus’ name!
