Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. – Gen. 30:22
Rachel had been praying for a child for long time! But after years and years of trying, she still hadn’t been able to get pregnant. Yet one day, “God remembered” her. He opened Rachel’s womb, and she conceived and gave birth to Joseph.
What have you asked God for? He remembers. Just because your prayer is taking a long time to be answered does not mean that God has forgotten you! Don’t give up. Don’t accept a counterfeit: any solution that comes up short of the fullness of God’s promise to you! Keep praying; and trust that one day – in His perfect timing – God will remember you.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for remembering me. I know You hear my every cry, and respond to my every prayer. Help me to stay patient, knowing that I am never forgotten, in Jesus’ name!
