Commentary from Pastor Mike White:
And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. – Jn 21:6
Peter was a fisherman. He fished before he met Jesus. After encountering Jesus, and making the decision to follow Him, he went back to fishing.
Jesus showed up in Peter’s workplace. The Son of God is never restricted to operating within the four walls of church, or inside the confines of your expectations. He will meet you in your place of business, and shower you with tangible, measurable blessings.
When Peter followed Jesus’ instructions, he could not draw in the net because it was so full of fish. He was so blessed in his profession that he couldn’t handle it. Invite God into your profession – into your office – and allow Him to bless you beyond comprehension!
Prayer:
Father, I invite You into my place of business. I know that Jesus Christ as at work everywhere. Help me to expect His influence at all times!
