CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“He delivered me because He delighted in me” (2 Sam 22:20). Jesus Christ gave Himself to die on the Cross as atonement for all your sins. But He didn’t do it because He had to; He did it because He wanted to. David knew that God delivered him because He delighted in him. We should know that God sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ, to deliver us from the snares of death for the same exact reason. God delights in you. He doesn’t just love you, He actually likes you!

Father, thank You for Your love! You didn’t have to save me from death, but You gave me life! I thank You for it Father!
