Commentary from Pastor Mike White:
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. – Acts 4:13
When we spend time with Jesus, the people around us will notice. Peter and John knew things that no education could teach. They spoke with boldness that could be learned from only one man: Jesus Christ. People knew, by their actions and demeanor, that they had been with Jesus.
When Moses received the Ten Commandments, his face shone (Ex 34:29). The people around him could tell he had been with God. When we spend time with God, we become more like Him. Are you spending so much time with God that people around you cannot help but notice?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be ambitious in my goal of seeking Your face. I want to devote every spare minute I have to enjoying Your presence. Thank You that I can worship You in spirit and in truth!
