Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. – Acts 5:14-15
Peter was a man just like you. He had seen Jesus. He was filled with His Holy Spirit! And even his “shadow…passing by” healed the sick.
What’s the difference between you and Peter? Peter spent years with Jesus watching Him minister. But you can be like Peter. You are filled with the same Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:11)! You can have the same level of faith! God can fill you with the same level of boldness that inspires you to preach the Gospel and heal the sick everywhere you go!
The only difference between you and Peter is that Peter took God at His word:
And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. – Matt. 14:28-29
God is calling you into a supernatural lifestyle of healing and miracles. Will you come?
Prayer:
Father, fill me with faith for the miraculous! There is absolutely no reason I should not see healing and miracles happening every day. I love You, and I will do Your work, in Jesus’ name!
