Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush. – Acts 7:35

The people rejected Moses. “Who made you a ruler and a judge?” they asked. “Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” one man chided (Ex. 2:14). The people didn’t think Moses deserved to lead. They brought up his past and argued he was disqualified because he had made some mistakes!

But God doesn’t care what people think. It doesn’t matter if people have rejected you as long as God has chosen you! Moses had a call on his life. Moses had the anointing! And the call and the anointing of God will always override the opinions of others.

Let them reject you. Because God has chosen you, and you cannot be denied.

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. – Lk. 6:22-23

Prayer:

Father, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for loving me! Thank You for putting Your hand on my life to accomplish something absolutely amazing. Help me to trust that You have chosen me, and that You do not make mistakes, in Jesus’ name!
