Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked. – Acts 14:9-10
Prayer is hindered without “faith to be healed.” Are you sick in your body? You need faith to be healed! Do you want to pray for other people and see them healed? You need faith to see God heal them!
The best faith-builder is the word of God. Read the Bible stories of Jesus healing everyone who encountered Him. Meditate on the reality that Paul healed people with his handkerchief because he was filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:12). Then, remember that the same Holy Spirit who healed through them, will heal through you!
The word builds faith. If you fill yourself up with the word, you will find yourself full of faith.
Prayer:
Father, fill me up with Your word! I know if I can get full of Your word, I will be full of faith, in Jesus’ name.
