Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
For at that time they came to David day by day to help him, until it was a great army, like the army of God. – 1 Chron 12:22
God builds armies day by day. David’s army didn’t show up at his doorstep overnight! God sent men – one by one – to build up his army one day at a time.
Don’t despise gradual change! God is increasing you, day by day. He is building your destiny, day by day. He is making your dreams unfold right before your eyes, day by day! David didn’t give up even though building took time; and neither should you! Thank God for progress, no matter how small.
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. – Prov 13:11
Prayer:
Father, thank You for growth day by day. I recognize that substantial change doesn’t happen overnight; and I thank You for keeping me patient as Your plans unfold over my life, in Jesus’ name!
