Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then all the people departed, every man to his house; and David returned to bless his house. – 1 Chron 16:43

David had just restored a culture of continuous worship in Israel. He had brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. He had put ministers in place to, “…minister before the ark regularly” (v 37). And because David had spent so much time in the presence of God, “David returned to bless his house” (v 43).

When you spend time in God’s presence, you will be a blessing to your house. You will be a blessing to your loved ones. You will be a blessing to your family! If you skip your daily time in the presence of God, you will be anxious and irritable; but if you will simply enjoy time in prayer, you will be a blessing to everyone in your life.

Take a few moments this morning and just talk to God. You will be better for it; and the people around you will thank you!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the revitalization and rejuvenation I find in Your presence. I want to be a blessing to the people around me. Thank You that I am blessed whenever I am with You!
