CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“’All this,’ said David, ‘the Lord made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.'” (1 Chron 28:19). If you’re a Christian, you’re a writer. I believe the mandate of every man and woman with a relationship with Jesus Christ is to receive thoughts and plans directly from Heaven and write them down. Why write them down? Because once we write it down, “…it will surely come” (Hab 2:3). What would have happened if David had never written down the intricate plans God gave him for the temple? It never would have been built the way The Lord wanted it built! What would have happened if Moses had never recorded God’s instructions? The people of Israel could never have lived according to God’s plan! Has God given you supernatural ideas? Write them down! Wait on The Lord, and watch Him bring them to pass.
Prayer:
Father, I declare that I am a writer! Help me to record all the thoughts and the plans that you have for me. Help me to write everything down. Once it’s on record, all of Heaven and all of hell knows I mean business!
