Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them. – 2 Chron 29:3
Hezekiah’s first priority was worship. Hezekiah was a good king; but God’s people were coming off a series of wicked kings. Hezekiah knew the thing God’s people needed most was to get back into the house of the Lord and worship Him. They needed to fall back in love with God, and His word; and worship was the only way to ignite the passion God’s people needed.
No matter what you are going through: WORSHIP! When you put worship first, God will refresh and reinvigorate you like never before, in Jesus’ name!
Prayer:
Father, I want to live a lifestyle of worship. Remind me to put worship first! I love You with all my heart; and I will worship accordingly, in Jesus’ name.
