Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. – 1 Cor. 2:10
Life is full of mystery. Why do humans exist? Who put us on this planet? More specifically, your life is full of mystery. What is the purpose of your life? What were you put on this earth to do in this moment in history that no one else but you can accomplish?
Scripture tells us how to find the answers to life’s most mysterious questions: lean on the Holy Spirit. The answers to life’s most puzzling and consequential questions are, “…revealed…to us through [God’s] Spirit.” So, what do you want to know? What answers to you need to properly move forward with vision and purpose in your life? The only way you will get the wisdom you need is by having a relationship with Jesus, and by accessing the depth of revelation that only comes through His Spirit.
You don’t need to know more stuff; you just need to know Jesus more. He has the answers you need! And His Holy Spirit is willing to make them known.
Prayer:
Father, You are all knowing! And I am not. I repent of my need to feel like I have all the answers. I’m sorry for ever seeking an answer to life’s biggest questions from a source that is not You. Help me to rely on Your Holy Spirit, now more than ever, to take me into the “deep things of God,” in Jesus’ name!
