Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14) Esther was living the dream. She had become queen over an entire kingdom, and was given anything she desired. But she had a choice to make. While her cousin Mordecai faced death outside the palace, would she help him? She knew if she didn’t approach King Ahasuerus, all the Jews in the kingdom would be slaughtered. But if she approached him without an invitation, she might be slaughtered first! So what did she do? She prayed and fasted, and then boldly approached the throne. What is God calling you to do? How can you help those who are left outside the Kingdom? You have been brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this! Boldly approach the throne, knowing that God will grant you an audience through His Son Jesus Christ!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for bringing me into Your Kingdom for such a time as this! You have given me everything my heart desires. Help me to honor You with my whole heart!
