Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! – Job 19:26-27
Job knew loss firsthand. He lost his fortune (Job 1:15). He lost his family (Job 1:19). He lost the support of his friends (Job 12:4)! But he would never lose his love for God.
Job’s confidence that he would see God face to face was his strength through adversity. Despite his circumstances, his heart yearned for God!
God alone provides the strength you need through every trial and tribulation. Lean on Him, and abandon every other option. No matter what happens, you will meet Him face to face!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for keeping me in the palm of Your hand. Thank You for loving me as Your own! I am forever grateful that at the end of my life, I will see You face to face.
