Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, he shall see His face with joy, for He restores to man His righteousness. – Job 33:26

God doesn’t just give us the reward we deserve; He gives us the reward only Jesus deserves. God restores His righteousness to us. He created us to carry His righteousness: to be molded into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. As we pray to God, three things happen: He delights in us, we shall see His face with joy, and God will restore His righteousness to us!

Jesus took the punishment you deserve on the Cross. In exchange, He gives you His righteousness. Don’t settle for what you think you deserve; hold out for what Scripture says is yours. Trust in Jesus, and walk out the calling God has put on your life!

Prayer:

Father, I receive Your righteousness in Jesus’ name. I trust in the finished work of the Cross. I believe Jesus died as my Substitute, so I can inherit the righteous reward only He deserves!
