Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. – 2 Cor 4:3-4

Don’t get frustrated if someone you know just won’t receive the gospel. Pray their eyes would be opened!

The enemy’s goal is to blind men and women to the truth of the gospel. If someone will not receive Jesus as Lord, their eyes might be blinded by the god of this age. You don’t need a more clever argument to convince them they need Jesus; you simply need to pray their eyes would be opened!

No one comes to Jesus unless the Father draws him (Jn 6:44). Pray that all blindness would be removed! Satan is no match for the blood of Jesus; and blindness is no match for your prayers.

Prayer:

Father, I rebuke blindness in my friends, family members, and coworkers. I ask that You would open their eyes so they can see the truth of the gospel. Show them why they need Jesus, and open up divine opportunities for me to share the gospel with them!
