Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you… – Job 42:8

In order for restoration to happen, Job had to pray for his friends! In order for forgiveness to take place, Job had to pray for his friends! Job was in the midst of suffering and despair, yet the only person God trusted to pray was…Job.

No matter what you’re going through: God trusts you to pray. Just because you’re going through something difficult doesn’t mean you’re not qualified to pray. Just because you’re not doing as well as a friend doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pray for him! If Job hadn’t prayed for his friends, 1) they never would have been forgiven, and 2) he never would have been restored.

You don’t have to be perfect to pray! No matter what you’re going through: God trusts you to pray!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for trusting me to pray! I declare that nothing I am going through can disqualify me from effective prayer. Give me confidence in my prayers, in Jesus’ name!
