And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. – Job 42:10
Restoration comes when you pray for those who have offended you. Job’s friends were wrong! They spoke foolishly. They falsely condemned Job, and cast him down repeatedly.
But Job didn’t spit in their faces when God proved his friends wrong. He didn’t settle the score. He prayed for them, and his losses were restored.
Don’t get even. Get praying. Take the high road! God will restore your losses when you pray for the people in your life who “deserve” your prayers the least.
Prayer:
Father, help me to get over the petty grievances that bother me every day. I know restoration comes when I pray for the people who offend me. Release double for my trouble, in Jesus’ name!
