Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. – 2 Cor 6:1-2

God’s grace is for now. To receive the grace of God in vain is to assume that His grace does not apply to you while you’re living here on the earth.

You don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to experience the benefits of the cross! Grace is unmerited favor. No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done: grace is yours now – at the moment you receive Jesus as Lord! It is a free gift from heaven; and once it’s received, no one can take it from you.

Receive the grace of God over your life. God hears you, and He helps you: here and now.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your grace! I need You – here and now – more than ever. Come into my life and change me from the inside out, in Jesus’ name!
