Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And apply your heart to my knowledge” (Prov 22:17). Knowing God exists is very different from having a genuine relationship with Him. God asks us not only to recognize He’s there, but also to become intimately acquainted with His Word and will: His character. God wants us to apply our hearts to His knowledge. Knowing love exists (potential) is quite different from encountering it (experience). If you have only an intellectual, surface-level relationship with God, He is inviting you deeper this morning. Say yes to giving God your whole heart. He already loves you with His!
Prayer:
Father, I want to experience Your love. I want to become intimately acquainted with Your plans for my life! I WANT MORE!
