For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. – 2 Cor 10:12
Comparing yourself to other people is not wise! You will never find any satisfaction judging yourself in relation to others. There will always be someone bigger, faster, and smarter than you. There will always be someone with a nicer house, and more money in their bank account. But none of that really matters in the end!
Don’t compare yourself to others! Compare yourself to Jesus. Realize how adequate He is, and trust in Him instead of yourself. Surround yourself with people who are going to look at Jesus instead of each other! As you behold Him, you become more like Him.
Prayer:
Father, keep me from comparing myself to other people. They are on their own path, and I am on mine; and that is just fine! Help me to be happy with everything You have given me, in Jesus’ name!
