Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. – Is 6:1

God speaks in the midst of tragedy and uncertainty. Isaiah was a prophet, and a new king was coming to power. New kings didn’t always receive prophets well! But God came to Isaiah and spoke to him to confirm his calling. God spoke to Isaiah to confirm that, even though one king of Judah was gone, Isaiah didn’t have to fear the next king coming to power.

Are you in the midst of dark times? Are you in the middle of a transition? God will speak to you there. He will confirm your calling and solidify your destiny, just as He did for Isaiah!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for speaking to me in the midst of tragedy and uncertainty. I know that no matter what is happening in my life, You are there! Thank You for Your constant presence, in Jesus’ name!
