Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Ps 56:11) When we trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we experience a perfect love that casts out all fear. Death has been defeated! Jesus Christ has conquered the grave! What else is left to fear? What can any man do to harm you when you know you’re headed for eternity with God in Heaven? Perfect love casts out all fear (1 Jn 4:18). If your relationship with God is based on fear in any way, shape or form, you still do not understand His perfect love. God doesn’t just want things that are yours; He wants you!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the perfect love of Your Son Jesus Christ! Because I trust in You, I will not fear. There is no fear in your perfect love for me.
