Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” – Gal 5:14
How deep is your “love?” Obedience to God means nothing if the fruit is not love. Our purpose on this Earth – the point of our existence! – is to show other people the love of God. It is to put the agenda of others ahead of the agenda of self.
What’s on your agenda? Will you spend more time today loving other people than you spend loving yourself? Will you spend more effort, time, and resources today blessing other people than you spend blessing yourself?
…and they did not love their lives to the death. – Rev 12:11b
Prayer:
Father, help me to love other people well! You put me on this Earth to do many things; but the main thing is loving other people well. I am so grateful; and I want to show the world Your love, in Jesus’ name!
