And the prophets become wind, for the word is not in them. – Jer 5:13
If you want to be prophetic, you have to have the word. If you’re not full of the word, your prophetic gifting is just wind!
I believe every New Testament Christian is called to prophesy. Here is my Scriptural support:
“For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” – Lk 7:28
If you’re in the Kingdom, you’re filled with the Holy Spirit. If you’re in the Kingdom, you’re called to prophesy!
But here is a key: The Holy Spirit does not speak out of line with God’s Word. The Word and the Spirit are One. Do you want to increase the prophetic anointing on your life? Get filled with the word of God!
Prayer:
Father, I pray You would increase my prophetic anointing, in Jesus’ name! I know I am filled with the same Holy Spirit who prophesied through prophets like Joel and Jeremiah. Fill me with the word so I can prophesy, in Jesus’ name!
