Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name is the Lord.” – Jer. 16:21
Do you have people in your life who don’t know Jesus yet? I do. I have friends who need to meet Jesus. I have family members who have never met God! I am surrounded every day by thousands of people in New York City who have no idea who God is, and have no interest in living their lives for Him.
And this is why our prayers matter. When you pray for people, God will “cause them to know” Him. He will cause them to know His hand and His might. He will cause them to see His glorious power on full display as He works miracles in their lives! He will cause them to know that His name is the Lord, and He alone is worthy of their praise and devotion.
Your friends and family members don’t need to find Jesus. They need Him to reach out to them! There is a difference. And your prayers are the catalyst that will set up the meeting.
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. – Jn. 6:44
Prayer:
Lord, I know people in my life who need to meet You. I’m asking You to reach out to them and cause them to know who You are, in Jesus’ name!
