Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. – Jer 23:23-24
God is always close to you. He did not form you in your mother’s womb to leave you at arm’s length. He wants to speak with you, “…as a man speaks to his friend” (Ex 33:11). He loves you as a father loves his son!
Take a moment today to talk to God. No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done: God is always close to you. Your Father loves you more than you can ever imagine.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. – Jas 4:8
Prayer:
Father, thank You for always staying close to me! It is so humbling to know there is nothing I can do to push You away. Thank You for Your Father’s heart!
