Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” – Jer. 33:3
God not only speaks! He shows. He will not only answer you when you call! He will rush to respond with action and “show you great and mighty things.” He will show you miracles in response to your prayers!
But there’s more. God will show you great and mighty things “which you do not know.” In other words, God wants to bless you with things that you don’t even know to pray for. He wants to show you great and mighty things that you wouldn’t even know to ask for yourself! Why? Because He is a God of abundance. He is a too-much God! He is a God who causes your cup to run over (Ps. 23:5) and your net to be full (Lk. 5:6)! He wants to bless you; and all you have to do is “call to Him.”
God wants to do amazing things in your life that are impossible for you to imagine. Let Him! Call out to Him and watch how your life changes on a dime.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for running to my rescue. Thank You for showing me “great and mighty things” that exceed my expectations and imagination! I am so thankful that You bless me in ways I wouldn’t even know to ask for or expect. I am grateful, in Jesus’ name.
