Now godliness with contentment is great gain. – 1 Tim 6:6
We are called not only to be godly; but to be content in our godliness! To be content means to be satisfied with what the Lord has provided. God has filled you with His Holy Spirit. He gave you His Word. You have everything you need to become more like Him. So why not be content?
Godliness is a gift; but contentment is a choice! Make the decision to be happy with what God has given you. All He has provided is truly more than any of us deserves.
Prayer:
Father, help me to be content! Thank You for all You’ve given me, and everything You’ve done for me. Make me content as I become more like You, in Jesus’ name.
