Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.” ‘” – Ezek 11:16
God is with you wherever you go! He is your “little sanctuary:” a respite and resting place from the world! Wherever you are: it only takes one moment to turn to God. When you give your life to Jesus, His Holy Spirit makes a home in you. That means that wherever you go, God goes too!
Take one moment today to talk to God. You don’t need an external source of comfort; you have the internal witness of God’s Holy Spirit! No matter how turbulent your surroundings, God is the calm in the storm. Turn to Him, and know that He is God; and He will give you rest that only He can provide!
“For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” – Lk 17:21
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my sanctuary! You are my solace in the storm. When life gets rough, I will turn to You! When things are going well, I will turn to You. I love You with all my heart, in Jesus’ name.
