Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols. I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them…’ “ – Ezek. 20:18-19
Don’t just do things because your parents did them. Don’t just go along with a plan because that’s the way things have always been done! Walk in God’s statues. Keep His judgments and do them!
The world has its’ way of doing things; and God has His way of doing things. Make sure you are aligned with God’s will! Going with the crowd is rarely the right answer; but living according to God’s word always is.
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” – Prov. 14:12
Prayer:
Father, help me to always follow You! I don’t want to follow man; I want to follow Your plan. You are faithful and Your word is true, in Jesus’ name!
