Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Therefore its height was exalted above all the trees of the field; its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long because of the abundance of water, as it sent them out. – Ezek 31:5
The more water, the longer the branches. Water represents time in God’s presence: leaning on His Holy Spirit for wisdom and guidance. The branches represent your reach: the number of people and places you can impact with the love of God in your lifetime. The more time you spend in God’s presence, the longer your reach!
Dig deep to reach out. Spend time with Him first, and you will be equipped to reach farther, and longer, than you ever thought you could!
Prayer:
Father, remind me to place a priority on time in Your presence. I want to dig deep, spend time with You, and then reach out!
