Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. – Ex. 15:19
The Egyptians and the Israelites both went into the same sea. Yet the Egyptians were drowned, and the Israelites went through on dry land. There is a difference between God’s people and people who don’t know Him! Everyone will face obstacles in life; but people who know God will pass through them with victory.
You might ask, how is that fair? How is it fair that the Egyptians were destined for death, yet the Israelites were destined for victory? But don’t forget the ten plagues! God had been trying to get Egypt’s attention for years. But they refused to receive Him. God has given an invitation for every man, woman and child to know Him:
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Rom. 10:12-13
God is available. If you’re reading this and you don’t know Jesus, it means you know He is there but you have refused to accept Him. There is nothing unfair about it. If you know Him, you will win: you will be victorious in this life, and you will be alive for all eternity. But without Him, there is no such guarantee.
Receive Jesus today. It’s not too late! And walk out a life of divine victory in Jesus’ name.
Prayer:
Father, I want to be one of Your people. I receive Jesus into my heart. I am going to live my life for You! Thank You for making a difference for Your people, in Jesus’ name.
