Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. – Psalm 126:5-6
No matter what’s happening in your life: just keep sowing. If you live in financial abundance: just keep sowing. If you can barely afford a roof over your head: just keep sowing. Those who sow – even in tears – will reap in joy! Those who continue to deposit seed, even while weeping, will undoubtedly rejoice when the harvest comes.
If you don’t sow seed, you can’t expect a harvest. The enemy’s strategy is to convince you to stop sowing: to let a negative view of your present discount your future. Don’t believe the lies! Unless you sow today, you cannot reap tomorrow.
Prayer:
Father, help me to keep sowing: no matter what! I will sow in tears and weeping, knowing that a joyful harvest is coming, in Jesus’ name!
