Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ… – Jude 1:1

Those who are in Christ are 1) called, 2) sanctified and 3) preserved. When you gave your life to Jesus, God took care of your past, present & future: all in an instant! God takes care of your past by overwhelming your mistakes with His calling. He covers your present by overpowering your insufficiencies with His perfection. God secures your future by preserving your expectations with His protection.

Forget your past. You have been made perfect in the present. Run into the future with confidence that your Father loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that You are the God of the past, the present, and the future! You are outside time, and You have already redeemed my entire life. I trust You, in Jesus’ name.
