Commentary from Pastor Michael White: The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; you who say in your heart, “Who will bring me down to the ground?” – Obadiah 1:3 Pride deceives. But humility guides. Pride says you don’t need Jesus! But humility points you straight to the Cross. Humility reminds you that, apart, from Jesus, you are nothing; but in Him, you are a child of God with access to Resurrection life! Reject pride. Practice humility! If you make a commitment to stay humble, you will be in good company: And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. – Phil 2:8 Prayer: Father, keep me humble!
