Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.” – Ex 23:25-26

Service leads to blessing. God explained the blessings of service to Moses: as Moses served, he would have abundant food and water, supernatural health in his body, divine fruitfulness, and long life! God doesn’t want to kill us with service; He wants to give us abundant life!

Even Jesus, “…did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matt 20:28). Service is not something we graduate from, it is something we are baptized into! Thanks be to God for the blessings that come through service.

Prayer:

Father, it is an absolute joy to serve You. Help me to serve You with all my heart – and no ulterior motives – for all of my days. I know the more I serve, the more I will be blessed, in Jesus’ name!
