Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. – Matt 4:18-20

Jesus will invade your workplace if you invite Him. Heaven will take over your office if you let it. I believe it with all my heart! Are you ready to believe it with me?

Jesus met Peter and Andrew at their job. They were fishermen casting their nets into the sea – doing the same old monotonous, mundane tasks they did every single day. But that day, something changed. Jesus showed up. His presence was so enticing, and so overwhelming, that they had to take notice. Peter and Andrew dropped what they were doing and followed Jesus! They quit their jobs and left everything to follow the Son of God! What a Man! What a Message!

God’s presence changes everything. All you have to do is invite Jesus into your workplace, and He will do the rest. People will be saved, healed, and set free, simply because you cultivate God’s presence in your office through prayer! Take today to pray that God would invade your workplace. Pray that He would bring men and women to Jesus Christ straight from the office, just as He did Peter and Andrew!

Prayer:

Father, invade my workplace today. Invade my office! Invade my copy room. Invade the cafeteria at my job! I know wherever I go, I am a walking ambassador of Your presence! I pray that men and women around me at work would drop whatever they’re doing and take notice of Jesus!
