Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.” ‘ ” – Matt 26:18
Jesus sent His disciples to a specific place; and He also sent them to a specific person! People are important. More often than not, when God wants to bless you, He will do it through other people. He will surround you with people who love you and care for you, and work through them to get you what He needs you to have! So when God puts a person on your heart, pay attention!
Pray that God would send you to the right place; but also pray He would send you to the right people! To whom is God sending you? What people does He want you around? The people you meet are even more important than the places you go.
Prayer:
Father, help me never to forget just how important people are. You have surrounded me with anointed men and women of God; and You did it on purpose! Help me to treasure them, just as they treasure me, in Jesus’ name!
