And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him. – Ex 29:7
The anointing is messy! If Jesus is Lord over your life, His presence is going to show in every part of your existence. It will be impossible to hide! In Matthew 26, a woman pours “costly fragrant oil” (v 7) all over Jesus’ head to anoint Him for burial. Everyone in the room took notice! In Ex 29:7, Moses is instructed to pour oil all over Aaron’s head to anoint him to minister to the Lord. It was impossible to ignore!
The anointing is messy! It covers all of you. It is impossible to hide. When you are truly anointed by God, it is absolutely unthinkable to go about “life as usual.” The evidence of God’s goodness will be apparent everywhere you go. When you leave a place, it will be marked by the presence of God.
We cannot compartmentalize genuine faith: embracing it on Sunday, but stuffing it away during the week. If we have real faith, it will show everywhere we go!
Prayer:
Father, give me real faith in Jesus’ name! I pray the anointing would take over my life. Everywhere I go, I want to leave a mark that Jesus was there!
