Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“On the east side, toward the rising of the sun, those of the standard of the forces with Judah shall camp according to their armies; and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be the leader of the children of Judah.” – Num. 2:3

God chose Amminadab to be the leader of the children of Judah. The rest of the men and women in the tribe didn’t complain because God hadn’t chosen them! They fell in line and followed the person God said was in charge.

God has given you a specific calling. You might feel “in charge;” or you might not. But the truth is this: God is really the One in charge after all. So when you follow the leader(s) He asks you to follow, you’re not really following them; you’re following Him in them. That eliminates the need to jockey for position, and destroys any attitude that you should be in charge instead of someone else.

Fall in line, and let God be in charge of your life! He will never fail to lead you well.

Prayer:

Father, help me to be comfortable in my calling. I submit to Your will. I will follow whom You want me to follow! I will be whom You want me to be. I will live to serve You and You alone, in Jesus’ name.
