Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
He will choose our inheritance for us, the excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah. – Ps 47:4
God knows best. He knows what you need. He knows what will make you happy! He knows what will satisfy your soul. The people of Israel rejoiced because they knew God would choose their inheritance for them, and it would be better than they had ever imagined! It would be, “…a good and large land…flowing with milk and honey” (Ex 3:8).
The inheritance God chooses for you is so much better than any land you could choose for yourself! Trust Him. Go where He wants you to go, and be who He wants you to be. When God chooses your inheritance, you will be satisfied!
Prayer:
Father, I trust You. You know best. You know what I need. You know what I don’t need! You know exactly what will satisfy me, in Jesus’ name!
