Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ‘ Therefore David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his Son?” And the common people heard Him gladly. – Mk 12:35-37

The common people wanted to come hear Jesus speak. He was relatable! He told them about things they needed to hear, in terms they could understand!

When you talk about God, do you speak in terms the “common people” can understand? Or is your religious jargon so intense that only those with a theological education get the message? If we want to win people to Jesus, we have to meet them where they are.

Prayer:

Father, make me relatable! I want to win people to Jesus; and I give You permission to make whatever changes need to be made in me to make it happen!
